Greetings GA Nike Veterans, the time and place committee has put together a reunion to take place April 20, 21, 22, 2012. The headquarters will be the Holiday Inn Savannah Airport and the meeting will be held at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum.
This is the plan: Arrive at the Holiday Inn around 1700 on Friday the 20th of April fellowship and dinner to take place at the hotel.
Plenty of rooms are available at a discounted rate for the Association of $85.00 per night, there is a restaurant and a lounge in the hotel. The hotel is located at exit 102 off Intersate 95. The following day, Saturday 21st of April we will begin by taking a guided tour of the museum at 1000 and lunch served in the museum at 1200 with the meeting to follow. After the meeting you will have time to tour any part of the museum you wish to see. The meeting room will seat a hundred people. The total cost per person is $18.00, which includes the tour, lunch, and meeting room. Some people will probably leave on Saturday, the rest will be able to see sights at Savannah which include beautiful Tybee Island Beach, Historic Savannah River Street, abundance of shopping malls, and any kind of restaurant you could imagine.
